Merptown: I’m in my mid-twenties, graduated from American University in 2007 and did a year and a half of service with AmeriCorps, and loved it! Now at home taking time to figure out what’s next while enjoying watching my niece and nephew in their first year of life! And of course, trying to regain control of mine. It’s now or never!

I am 52, also the mom of one awesome daughter (author of this blog).  She is the best thing I ever did, and I love, love, love having her around.  She was away for four and a half years for college and then for a couple terms with AmeriCorps, so having her home now is a huge treat. I realize soon enough she will be off again somewhere living her dreams, but until then I hope to cherish the time together and help each other get to a place we feel good about ourselves.     

Anyone who wants to come along and use this blog for accountability we welcome all, because unlike my former co-worker… what with, “all the new year’s resolution folks are crowding my gym,” I say the more the merrier! We wish everyone success with their battles and will welcome all encouraging words for ours.

And for the record, this is no new year’s resolution... it’s a revolution!
